Through the Ages: President Obama

An up close and personal look into President Obama’s trip to Yosemite with his family. This VR film features a variety of beautiful locations in Yosemite and some timelapses.

One of the cameras in the VR rig failed for one of the shots so we only had mono for a slice of the scene. I was in charge of the 2D to 3D conversion of that slice and matched the depth and stereo alignment with the rest of the natively shot angles.

Responsibilities:

• Assembling 360 degree stereo shots
• Stereo conversion of mono slices
• Color grading
• Fixing stereo discrepancies and stitching artifacts
• Collaborating with software dev team on final stages of pipeline
